Felony Statement

Whether by design or by chance the felony epidemic is crippling our communities. Not only does a felony conviction impose prison time, it destroys families and effectively strips the individual of some of the most basic human rights, freedoms, and privileges. It also inhibits the person’s ability to provide for a family or become financially independent long after the debt to society has been paid. This helps to perpetuate the vicious cycle of crime and recidivism that is plaguing our community.

The Felony Free Society  brings awareness, education, preventative programs, and economic empowerment to those potentially and officially affected by felony convictions. By doing this The Felony Free Society will reduce crime and recidivism rates making communities safer, stronger, and produce higher numbers of youth attending college to improve the individual’s social, economic, and political conditions.
